Elementary School Visits CGS

For many years, it has been a tradition for fourth-grade students from the local elementary school in Denkendorf to visit regional businesses to gain insight into local trades and industry. At CGS Company GmbH, with all its business divisions, they were able to not only see this firsthand but also actively experience it.

The 53 children were welcomed by the management team led by Alfons Geyer. After a brief but important safety briefing, each student received a "Researcher Pass". This was developed specifically for the young guests by the current apprentices together with the newly certified journeymen.

The children were able to actively participate at various stations. Particularly exciting were the "Hot Wire" and the "CASE Rally", which required skill and concentration. Fine motor skills were also tested while bending wires into a heart shape. In addition, chemistry was not neglected: different liquids were examined and small experiments were conducted.

At the same time, the 4th-grade classes participated in other program activities, including a screening of a promotional video and a tour of the CGS workplace, which gave the children a comprehensive insight into the company´s daily work routine and various business areas such as planning/construction, metal fabrication, electrical engineering, logistics, etc.

The students asked a wide range of questions, covering everything from the company´s founding and training opportunities to its international clientele.

At the end of the visit, the teachers took the floor and expressed their sincere gratitude for the successful morning. Armed with many new impressions and experiences, the students said their goodbyes - until next time.

Finally, it was emphasized once again that skilled trades offer a secure and promising future. CGS Company GmbH is a dedicated training provider in the electrical and metalworking industries and offers young people a wide range of opportunities to launch their careers.
